Maryland Chamber of Commerce Names Savantage Solutions a Finalist for the Small Business of the Year 2007 Award
ROCKVILLE, Maryland - May 17, 2007
CEO and President Lisa Kazor announced today that Savantage Solutions is a finalist for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award in the 51 to 200 employee category. The Small Business of the Year awards program recognizes outstanding small businesses based on performance, growth, innovation, creativity, competitiveness, and community involvement. Three finalists are selected in four categories, including small businesses with 1 to 5 employees, 6 to 50 employees, 51 to 200 employees, and non-profits.
Kathleen T. Snyder, CCE, President, and CEO of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce applauds the finalists for the 2007 Small Business of the Year Awards. "By providing jobs, getting involved with chambers of commerce and improving the quality of life in our communities, these small businesses have indeed become the foundation of Maryland’s economy, " Ms. Snyder said.
Savantage was selected as a finalist for the Small Business of the Year Award by a panel of judges made up of representatives of Maryland's business media, including Washington Smart CEO magazine, The Baltimore Examiner, and Corridor Inc. Winners in each small business category will be announced during the Maryland Chamber’s "Growing Business, Celebrating Success" event on June 1, 2007 at the Hilton BWI Airport Hotel.
